Your oaks, crape myrtles, and magnolias — turned into nighttime sculpture.
Mature trees are the most under-used asset on most Alabama properties. A single well-aimed uplight turns a crape myrtle into sculpture; two or three make a sixty-foot oak the centerpiece of the whole yard. We also install moonlighting — fixtures mounted high in the canopy, aimed down through the branches, that cast soft, dappled 'moonlight' across lawns and paths.
Fixture choice matters here: we use adjustable brass uplights and flush in-ground wells with the beam spread matched to each tree's shape, so a columnar magnolia and a spreading oak each get the right light. As trees grow, we re-aim — that's part of owning a professionally designed system.
No — LED fixtures run cool, and mounting in the canopy uses tree-safe standoffs that accommodate growth. This is standard practice in professional landscape lighting.
Crape myrtles, oaks, magnolias, birches, and Japanese maples are the stars in our area. If a tree has interesting bark, branching, or canopy, it will light beautifully — we'll tell you honestly at the demo which ones are worth it.
Architectural uplighting that makes your home the best-looking house on the street.
