What to actually compare (brand aside)

• The mount: is the channel tucked under the drip edge and color-matched to your fascia, or surface-screwed and visible from the street?
• The demo: will they show you the system on a real house at night — ideally yours?
• Service: who fixes a dead section in December — a local crew this week, or a ticket queue?
• The whole property: a glowing roofline over a pitch-black yard looks unfinished. Ask whether they design landscape lighting too, or only rooflines.
• Local proof: reviews with names and neighborhoods you recognize.
